The history of the Institute

At the end of the 20th century, thanks to the bequest of Princess Beatrice Fiorenza Cenci Bolognetti, the Istituto Pasteur Italia – Fondazione Cenci Bolognetti was established in 1964.

Our laboratories

Our laboratories are located in the former Regina Elena premises in Rome—now a center for studies conducted in the fields of molecular, biotechnological, and nanotechnological medicine—and are considered a flagship thanks to the international work environment that allows young professionals to conduct research in Italy without having to go abroad.

The Pasteur Institutes in the world, of which the sole representative for our country is the Istituto Pasteur Italia (which joined the network in 1976).
